Orocovis

Long time no see! Well, to be back, I decided to post about Orocovis, a city in the Central region of Puerto Rico. Being in the mountains makes it have various temperatures, the highest (that day) being 73°F and the lowest 68°F, which to me is pretty unusual and cold. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this Christmas season and that this new year 2013 brings good things to you guys. See you soon!

Isabela

A beach in Isabela. Some beaches in the area, like Jobos and Montones, have crystal clear water and aren't so deep.

"Pozo de Jacinto". According to legend, there was a man named Jacinto. One day, he brought his herd of cows to walk through the area near the well, while he had a cow, his favorite, tied to himself. The cow approached the hole and fell, taking Jacinto with it.

One of the beaches of Isabela. In this particular beach, you can take a Jeep and go through the dunes and enjoy this spectacular view.

El Yunque (Part 2)

More photos of the last visit to El Yunque National Forest. In the next 2 or 3 weeks may come some photos of Mt. Britton, a small peak (3,088 ft. high), a 45 minute trip, and fantastic views. Besides Mt. Britton, there will be photos taken from the top of El Yunque (3,543 ft. high), a trip of 1 hour or less, with more fantastic views.

Museo de Arte de Ponce: Gardens

The Museo de Arte de Ponce has 3 gardens, each one with its own meaning or representation. The first one is called Jardín Granada, or Granada Garden. It represents a garden of a castle in Spain. The name it's because of the pomegranate that are born in the garden, hence granada is pomegranate in Spanish.

The second garden is called Jardín Lincoln, in English Lincoln Garden. In the garden there was the bust of Lincoln and a message from him. There is currently no photo of the monument, but when I receive them, I will post them. Also, in the garden, there was a metal sculpture from which there was no name of.

The third garden is called Jardín Puerto Rico, or Puerto Rico Garden. It houses a central pool with a sculpture inside, which it's called Archipielago, in English Archipelago, and other sculptures around the pool area.
